Champix Side Effects
Champix is a prescription only drug,and it has a number of known side effects. Side effects however, will affect individuals in different severities, as every body reacts differently to medication, and some may experience no side effects at all. Anywhere between 1 in 10 and 1 in 100people who take Champix experience the following side effects:
- Dizziness
- Dry mouth
- Increased appetite
- Fatigue
- A change in tastes
- Stomach problems
Uncommon Champix side effects
Uncommon side effects will not occur as frequently, but could be the onset of a bigger problem. If you experience any of these effects, don’t hesitate to contact a doctor:
- Decreased appetite
- Inflammation of the throat and nose and or throat irritation
- Thirstiness
- Shortness of breath
- Problems with speech
- Changes in the sex drive
- Increased blood pressure
- Increased weight
- An awareness of your heart beat
- Mood swings
The rarest side effect and perhaps the most dangerous is that Champix has been linked to thoughts of suicide and depression. If you feel like this at any stage, contact your doctor to discuss alternative treatments or plans immediately.
