Statins have traditionally been used to help regulate blood cholesterol levels with the aim to help prevent serious cardiovascular problems; however statins could also help lower a man’s risk of prostate cancer, according to new research.
Statins are medications that work to monitor the levels of ‘bad’ and ‘good’ cholesterol in the blood, but independent research published in the journal titled: Cancer shows that it’s lipid lowering abilities may also lower prostate cancer risk in men.
