Emergency Contraception Discussed at Conference

A virtual conference, hosted by the International Consortium for Emergency Contraception (ICEC), brought together more than 1,000 people to discuss issues such as international challenges regarding EC access, and whether EC can be used regularly.

The forum, hosted in collaboration with the World Health Organisation (WHO), brought together experts on the ‘morning after pill’. Highlights of the conference reportedly included the issue of repeat use of EC, on which it was deemed that, while evidence suggests no safety concerns regarding repeat use of levonorgestrel-based medication, there is insuffi....
