Propecia Side Effects
As with most prescription medications, Propecia can cause side effects. Men react differently to medications, and not everyone can expect to experience the same side effects, or the same level of severity. Some may not even experience any side effects at all. The best thing to do is take the medication for roughly a month. If you notice that you are continuously experiencing side effects, then consult a doctor. They will either take you off the medication or change the dosage.
Certain groups of men maybe at greater risk of experiencing side effects either because of a pre-existing health condition, or because of medication they are taking. You must ensure that you mention all health problems and medications during your online consultation.
Some of the side effects are as follows:
- Impotence or a reduced volume of ejaculation
- Male breast swelling and tenderness
- Pain in the testicles
- A decreased sex drive
- Itching, hives and swelling of the lips
- Hypersensitivity and rash

Propecia side effects in the long term
The main concern with the long term side effects of Propecia is impotence. Some results have shown that men who have taken Propecia for a continued amount of time have suffered from erectile dysfunction problems. It should be noted, however, that most men who experience problems with their erection do so only temporarily, in most cases it is alleviated in time.
If you begin to notice any signs of impotence, then contact your doctor and get advice on how serious it may be, and if you should continue using this medication. Serious problems can be avoided if you are aware of your body and regularly update your doctor with any side effects that concern you.
Everyone reacts differently to the medication, and some men won’t experience any Propecia side effects at all. Be sure to report any discomfort to a doctor.
