The problems that arise from erectile dysfunction can be very discomforting and difficult to deal with. So here are a few tips to help you resolve the problem, ensuring your sex life will be even more enjoyable for you and your partner.

1. Live a healthy life

Wait. This does not mean you have to force yourself to eat “five a day” for the rest of your life, but you should consider reviewing your eating habits. Exercising, taking walks and getting fresh air are all activities to stimulate your mind and keep your body’s sexual mechanisms running like a new engine. ‘Vroom, Vroom!’ What will you lose if you take the stairs instead of using the escalator on your way to work? A life of excess, indulgence and luxury may sound like fun, but your sex life may suffer.

2. Lower your porn intake

Say no to porn and miracles could transpire. Did you know that excessive porn use could potentially have a negative effect on how your brain processes sexual stimulation? If this applies to you, and you’re able to do so without showing any negative temperament towards those around you, stop masturbating. You should give yourself the chance to get aroused in the way that nature originally intended – through somebody else’s touch.

3. See “the little blue pill” as an option

It’s understandable if you’re concerned about using prescription treatment for ED, but many men who suffer from this condition just need a little encouragement to get past this. 4. Practice mindful and goalless sex

Sex is not all about racing to the finishing line. Learn how to appreciate the whole spectrum of sex: the flirting, the undressing, the kissing and cuddling. Foreplay stimulates and prepares the body for sexual engagement. You wouldn’t exercise without doing your stretches or pre-workout would you?

5. Experiment with sex

If you’re trapped in the frustrating and confidence-diminishing prison of erectile dysfunction, then experimenting with sex may help you to break free. How about trying new sexual practices? Explore the unknown and try out different roles. In some cases, erectile dysfunction occurs as a result of boredom with the same old routine. When trying sexual activities that are new to you, you may find that you become sexually aroused more easily.
